REHAB NEWS
Austin

Sue Lightner and Lightacres wish to thank the many owners and trainers who have horses in our rehab program. Thanks to: John Bragg and Doug Dolezal, The Helfrichs. Dave and Lesley Bulechek, Diane Yeager, Jenny Barnes, Erin Miller, Lyn Irving, Lori Sherry, Ned and Hope Glynn, Sabrina Hellman, Kathleen O’Neill, Patrick Dwyer, Heather Nicholson, Amy Fitzpatrick and Jennifer Grubb.

Congratulations to Austin, the most recent graduate of our rehab program! Heading straight to the OAKS, Austin was an almost immediate winner ridden by Doug Dolezal. Thanks to John Bragg for allowing us to work on his champion.

Grayson Martin shipped her newly purchased 3year old Wyndham Hill, aka Wynn, from Canada for some TLC and work under saddle. Wynn spent a few months here gaining weight and learning to steer under saddle! He’s now going to continue his career under the guidance of Grayson’s trainer Diane Yeager. No doubt this beautiful mover will thrive under the skillful ride of Diane.

WELCOME!!

Pam Orcutt and Fagahno have joined the training program at Lightacres. We at Lightacres are excited to have them. Pam and Fagahno previously trained with Carol Wright, who did a terrific job with them.

Carolyn Schultz and Elvis have also come to Lightacres. Jenifer Paris has already been riding Elvis for her mom Jeanne, so now she can develop Carolyn’s ride on him. We look forward to spending time with Carolyn as soon as her collarbone heals!

Samantha Houston is sponsoring Lightacres’ Miss Sallie so that she can work more on her riding. This allows Sam practice outside of her lessons.

Ashley Norris has moved to Modesto from New Jersey and is happy to be riding again after some time off to move and get settled. She is sponsoring Stefan and having a great time getting her riding up to speed.

OLD FRIENDSAllison Lawrence and Loverboy

Zoë Gardner and Allison Lawrence are spending some time riding this summer. They’re both on break from college and we love having them back!

Both girls have leased their horses out during school. Ali’s horse Loverboy has continued Tricia Robinsonhis winning ways with Kelsey Maida in training with Diane Yeager and Zoë’s Pyramus is doing his equitation job for Roarke Luskin in training with Nicole Bloom.

Zoe Gardner and PyramusTricia Robinson has been coming by to school her jumpers over the water. It’s great to see Tricia, a former working student here at Lightacres and one of the winningest junior riders Sue ever coached. Tricia pursued a career in education – but she never gave up her love of jumping a horse – the bigger the better!
