Ashley also competed in the Week I and Week II Grand Prixs, taking fourth place in the first week’s class amongst top professionals! Well Done Ashley!

These four weeks were also the debut of our up and coming three year olds in the Baby Green Hunter division! Congratulations to Raggedy Music, Ragnificent, Glen Fiddich, and Ragtime Cowboy on a great beginning to their careers in the hunter ring!

Ragtime Cowboy, owned by Twinkle Gorman, and ridden by Dianne Yeager, had a great four weeks of horse shows! With a CIRCUIT CHAMPIONSHIP in the Hunter Breeding Division, and a number of fantastic ribbons in the Baby Green Hunter Division, “Benson” is ready to head down to Showpark to compete in the IHF three year old division, and the Sallie B. Flor de Maria Rizo, and her pony Karma, joined us for the final week of showing, to compete in the SAHJA Short Stirrup Division, and earned fantastic prizes! Good Job Flor!

Lightacres also made the Journey to Spruce Meadows this summer, with Ashley’s three horses! Life of Riley, Silvana, and Pia’sadorable made the long trek up to Canada to compete in the 1.10, 1.20 and 1.30 divisions. Ashley was the number one qualifier for the NorCal 1.30 team, riding Sue Lightner’s Pia’sadorable, but was unfortunately unable to compete in the team competition, due to a minor injury that occurred during the first week. Nonetheless, the journey was well worth it when Ashley earned a spot in the “final four” competition in the 1.10 division aboard Life of Riley! Ashley also earned fantastic ribbons throughout her time in Canada aboard Silvana in the 1.20 classes! Congratulations to Ashley!

Congratulations to Marisa Metzger on being accepted into the second level of the Emerging Athletes Program! Marisa rode Sue Lightner’s Pia’sadorable in the second level, which took place in Bend, Oregon earlier this month! She thanks Sue for the chance to ride such a wonderful horse, and for the opportunity to attend!

Lightacres also attended the D’Alonzo Show in July and earned fantastic prizes there with all of our students! We ended up being show CHAMPION in nearly all age groups! Congratulations to Natalie Lenser riding Norana, Becky Head riding Pandamine, Joelle Hylton riding Whoonu, Bailey Campell riding Whitzabouter, Caiitlyn Baggese riding The General and Te’a Cormier riding Stefan! What a great show!
