“Elvis” is a 5 year old seventeen hand Oldenburg gelding by Noble Champion out of Rapture. As a baby he won the premium foal award at the Oldenburg inspection. “Elvis” has been carefully trained through our program here at Lightacres. He debuted in the Baby Green Hunters in 2007, winning prizes at the Pickwick shows and at Pebble Beach. He began showing in the Pre Greens and low level jumpers in 2008. At Pebble Beach Spring he got top prizes in the Pre Green Hunters and was Reserve Champion Level O jumper. Elvis is a good mover with a beautiful jump, a huge stride and he’s very brave.

A very personable horse who loves to be handled. Has shown at 2’6” and will trail ride. Checkers has been ridden Western and around cattle also. He would make a great “at home” horse.

Chestnut Oldenburg gelding. Tex is a beautiful mover and jumper and very flashy. He was shown in the Low Hunters and Training Jumpers in 2007 with consistent placings. He’s been doing one day shows in 2008 winning on the flat and over jumps. He would do well in the dressage ring and is very personable.

Quincy is a remarkable 14 hand dark bay large pony. He has lots of experience at non-rated shows and has even gone cross country. Eligible USEF “Green”, Quincy is a fabulous mover and jumper! Pictured here jumping 3’6”, Quincy can breeze through the larges! Quincy will do his first rated show in May 2008.

Fingerpaint is a 13.1 7/8 hand medium pony. He has won numerous Low Hunter classes, besting as many as 40 horses. In 2007, Fingerpaint qualified his rider for the NorCal, Horse and Hound and SAHJA Pony Medal Finals. He was third in the Pony Hunter Classic at the Oaks. Currently he’s winning in the Short Stirrup with an eight year old rider.

Grey WBD gelding. Packing 3 foot or 3’6” horse. Jumps in beautiful form and would do the Equitation. Has won a lot. Easy – Big stride. Great ground manners – great show horse!

Chestnut Oldenburg gelding. Out of Pias’adorable by Ragtime, Rico should possess incredible jump. His mom has been a champion hunter who began her Grand Prix career in 2007. Rico is aiming toward the 2008 International Hunter Futurity and was 3rd his first outing over jumps.

Chestnut/Roan Oldenburg gelding. Out of Misty View by Ragtime, “Reggie” received premium status at the Oldenburg inspection. He won numerous Hunter Breeding Classes as a yearling and ended up 3rd at the Sallie B. Wheeler Hunter Breeding Championships. Reggie had an amazing 2007 culminating with winning Best Young Horse at the IHF Western Regionals and 3rd in the 2yr old under saddle.
Reggie was shown eight times in the Hunter Breeding in 2007 and has been Best Young Horse everytime. He has been started over jumps and is aiming for the IHF in August.

Black filly. “Sera” won several Hunter Breeding classes as a yearling. She is out of Rapture by Ragtime and was scored premium at the Oldenburg inspection. She was second in the 2 year old filly class at the IHF Western Regionals.
Sera was second to Reggae in her eight outings in the Hunter Breeding in 2007. She has started over jumps in 2008 and was pinned in her first show over fences. She is being prepped for the IHF in August.

Grey Oldenburg gelding. Out of Misty View by Sir Calletto, “Sam” was the Reserve Champion 2 year old in the Sallie B Wheeler Hunter Breeding in 2006. Sam earned prizes in the Baby Greens in 2007. He has begun the Lows and PreGreens in 2008, already garnering two Reserve Show Championships. Great jump – Big step!

By Papparazzi out of Holiday, Paloma is a sweet tempered filly. She debuted at the Pebble Beach Spring Show in 2008, winning every class in the Baby Green Hunters to be Champion. Paloma is a very good mover and delightfully easy!

Bay Oldenburg gelding. Out of Misty View by Sir Caletto. Tico is a good mover with a lovely jump. Tico has won in the Baby Green Hunters in 2007, but his real calling may be in the jumper ring. He is tremendously scopey. At the Pebble Beach Championship Show, Nov. 2007 Tico was Level 2 Jumper Champion. He also got good prizes in the Handy Hunters. Tico began the 5 year old Young Jumpers in 2008, with consistent wins! He plans on being very competitive at the young Jumper Championships in August!

“Carly” is very sweet, pretty and honest. Debuting in the Baby Green Hunters spring 2007, Carly has been pinned in the top ribbons at Pickwick Spring, Golden State and Pebble Beach. Carly moved to the jumper ring in 2008 and already has been Champion Level 0, Level 1 and Level 2 jumper. She’ll be a fabulous Childrens or A/A jumper. She loves it and is honest, honest, honest…..
