We are a full service training facility for hunters, jumpers and equitation. In addition we offer a complete rehabilitation program for equine athletes.

Lightacres offers a wide variety of programs for all levels of riders from the most novice to the very advanced. We also train horses at all levels and generally have several quality horses for sale.

The level of care and maintenance of the horses at Lightacres is of utmost importance, from our lesson horses to the highest level competition horses. We don't offer just regular board; even our boarding program includes daily wormer, individually tailored feeding programs, and daily turn-out. There is both a veterinarian and a first-rate farrier on site weekly.

We care for medical problems under the guidance of a top veterinary clinic and do rehabilitation and conditioning for injured horses. Lightacres takes great pride in the horses we have brought back to full use from probable career-ending injuries. A great feature of our program is our multi-trainer from Holland. This machine allows computer-programmed, safe exercise for all the horses on the farm in addition to riding or training. The horses at Lightacres live in 12 x 12 box stables.

There are two barns for the horses in training. The front arena has all weather footing and is lighted to accommodate evening lessons. Our covered ring is also lighted and features a Footings Unlimited Airfoot surface. There is a third large outside jumping area with all weather sand footing. We have both sand paddocks and grass paddocks for turn-out for the training horses.

The lesson barn has its own tackroom and large 14 x 14 foot stables with paddocks for our school horses. Lightacres' multi-trainer is under cover, allowing for year round exercise for all the horses. The farrier has lighted cross-ties under cover where he can safely shoe the horses on the farm. We feature a washrack with hot and cold water and have laundry facilities to do all the horse laundry.
